Operations Manager with finance duties – FTC 12-18 months

This is an exciting opportunity to join a fast paced national department store, working directly with General Manager to oversee the smooth running of daily operations including security, maintenance, stock and cash office. They team are a high performing, friend bunch wo love working here.
The Role:
Operations duties (80% of the role)
- Ensuring the store meets presentation expectations and is secure and safe from risk of fires/intruders at all times
- Taking responsibility for all testing, checks, certification and compliance related to store safety
- Work with the teams to ensure order fulfilment is hitting store KPI’s
- Taking responsibility for the payment systems is always operational and meeting business needs; liaising with IT and other teams regularly
- Oversee the planning and installation of new partners/concessions
- Managing the cash office; ensuring there is strong security and efficiency at all times
Finance Duties (20% of the role)
- Provide ongoing cost, sales and margin analysis
- Control and process stock system updates/reporting
- Reviewing and reporting across all cost, inventory, budgets
- Management of budgets and forecasting
- Capital expenditure budget
About You:
- You have worked in a large store/hotel/hospitality business in an operations capacity
- You have previous managed multiple teams working across different disciplines
- You are great with numbers, forecasting and Excel
- You are customer and people focused; with strong communication skills
- You are driven, resilient and able to work to deadlines-often under pressure.
