A new store opening in a beautiful, iconic part of London. My client, a luxury leather goods brand is opening a new stunning boutique and is looking for a Store Manager.

The brand is a small family-owned retailer and so this person will be part of a close knit culture working with Senior Members of the business including the CEO.

This person will be on boarded prior to the store opening in October/November to help support the business with opening their new location and hiring of the team.

As Store Manager you will confidently guide your team; welcoming clients them into the world of the Brand. You will have an entrepreneurial spirit and natural commercial drive, inherently drawing clients into your location.
 
About The Role:

Brand Promotion

  • Building and developing a network of people to promote customer loyalty
  • Promoting the brand culture
  • Ensuring store atmosphere upholds brand image

Business Development

  • Developing a store business plan to include marketing and promotional strategies to drive traffic and develop the customer base
  • Being aware of the local market and business environment
  • Making recommendations for store renovations/upgrade/expansion etc. to increase sales and market share

Sales Management

  • Continuously motivating and coaching sales associates to meet sales & productivity goals.
  • Demonstrating sales leadership for staff by playing an active role on the selling floor
  • Proactively managing clientelling
  • Ensuring that all associates are knowledgeable of company products, information, and history.
  • Ensuring employees are provided with product knowledge to enhance and ensure cross-selling across categories
  • Providing feedback on product assortment, buying trends and customer requests

Team Management

  • Identifying, recruiting, developing, and retaining best in class talent
  • Coaching, developing, motivating, and challenging the team on a regular basis
  • Setting individual objectives to each team member and support them in reaching them.
  • Creating development plans for sales staff and management
  • Supervising store personnel and enforcing company policies

Operations

  • Using of POS system and its inventory management functions
  • Providing daily, weekly, monthly qualitative and quantitative business reports as required
  • Determining staffing needs and create staff schedules
  • Completing all store administration in an accurate and timely fashion
  • Profit and Loss responsibility for the store
  • Ensuring compliance with all internal control procedures: maintaining inventory accuracy
  • Maintaining the highest standard of housekeeping and organisation

Customer Service

  • Ensuring the highest level of customer service
  • Supporting sales associates with After Sales Service issues

Store Visuals

  • Maintaining visual merchandising standards and store condition

 About You:

  • Successful previous experiences in a managerial role in luxury business- leather goods experience preferable
  • Entrepreneur with experience of people management, coaching a team to build a high performance culture – leader, dedicated to support and develop the team
  • Operationally strong, able to translate strategies into operational plans
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, able to build relationships across all levels
  • Fluent in English – excellent verbal and written standards
  • Very commercially minded
